is seeking to fill the position of Deputy
Chief Counsel. Under the administrative
direction of the Chief Legal Officer, the
Deputy Chief Counsel performs the more
complex and difficult legal assignments by
providing legal advice and representation to
OCERS and its Board of Retirement in all
legal matters pertaining to the daily
operations of OCERS. In the absence of the
Chief Legal Officer the Deputy Chief Counsel
may manage the legal division and ensure
that all activities of OCERS are legally
supportable and carried out in accordance
with applicable laws, regulations and rules.
The Deputy Chief Counsel is distinguished by
the ability to perform the more complex and
difficult legal assignments which require a
high degree of knowledge and skill in a
specialized field of law, such as: public
pension law, institutional investments,
family law, tax law, securities law,
probate, contracts and medical-legal issues.
