of a program designed to help you achieve a secure future. OCERS
provides eligible employees of the County of Orange and other
participating employers the opportunity to earn retirement
benefits they can count on. We offer a lifetime benefit at
retirement, disability and survivor protection.
Retirement Eligible
Congratulations — you could be nearing retirement eligibility! Now’s a good time to learn more. Start thinking about your retirement date and make sure you have all the information you need to enjoy your well-earned retirement.
Update your beneficiaries:
Log on to your myOCERS portal to see if your beneficiary designations are up-to-date. Once your retirement is processed, you won’t be able to change this information. We suggest listing alternate beneficiaries if you have them.

myOCERS Registration – Creating your Account
All users are required to provide their unique “SECURITY PIN” when registering to create your myOCERS account. Security PINs are provided to all new members in your Welcome Letter/1st Benefit Letter. If you do not remember what your SECURITY PIN is, please Contact Us for assistance.
OCERS Key Terms
Actuarial valuation: a mathematical estimate of a pension plan’s financial standing at a specific point in time
Annuity: a series of retirement payments that come from your contributions and interest for a specified period of time (number of years, lifetime, etc.)
Beneficiary: a person that you name in writing to receive certain benefits provided by your plan upon your death
