On #GovernmentCommunicationsDay, OCERS recognizes and celebrates the dedicated government communicators who have made it their mission to inform, educate, and engage members and stakeholders year-round. 

The OCERS Communications Team spearheads community outreach, publications, education programs, website management, video production, social media, and many more.

In the past six months, the team has revitalized the agency’s social media platforms, enhanced the pre-retirement seminars by bringing back guest presenters, and elevated the At Your Service newsletter by including QR codes to videos and additional resources to members. They have also started meeting with partner organizations to discuss future collaborations to enhance member education and services. 

The Communications Teams recently introduced ‘Ask Benny,’ the latest advice column dedicated to retirement benefits. This new feature on the member newsletter is designed to be an invaluable resource for our members, offering guidance on pension-related queries, retirement benefits, beneficiaries, and retirement planning.
